Solution – Leveraging their deep engineering expertise, AeroGo engineers helped a customer in the shipbuilding industry maneuver a 2,200 ton ship out of manufacturing and transfer it onto a floating dock using AeroGo Super 60 air casters.

The AeroGo Advantage:

  • Advanced design of the air casters allowed the ship to make 90 degree turns (almost impossible to achieve with conventional rollers, rails or skid beams)
  • Ultra-low ground loading eliminated the need for pilings and other ground reinforcing techniques required by other methods
  • Using a built-in suspension system, AeroGo air casters allowed the ship to move across surfaces that were not completely flat, while maintaining consistent loading on the ground and supporting structure
